Cage Titans 60 : The Preview

Cage Titans 60 goes down this weekend on Saturday July 22'nd at the famous Memorial Hall in Plymouth Massachusetts. Lionel "Boogz" Young will headline the card against Jay "The Joker" Perrin. 14 matches are scheduled with a mix of pro fight, amateur matchups, muay thai, and grappling.

The Main Event of the night will feature 2 Cage Titans Vets as Jay "the Joker" Perrin (10-7) returns to the Memorial Hall to take on Lionel "Boogz" Young. Perrin returns to action after a highly anticipated UFC matchup against rising star Raul Rosas Jr which didn't go his way. Perrin is ready to prove himself again on the regional scene and work his way back up to the big leagues. Theres no better place to start then where Perrin has gone 5-0 under the Cage Titans banner. On the other side of the cage will be a tough night out for anyone. Young has stayed active with 5 fights in the last 2 years, he is more than prepared for the challenge. This fight has fireworks written all over it!

Another highly anticipated matchup comes in the co main event as Robert "The Real Deal" Wusstig (8-13) carries his momentum from his victory in his last outing to take on Don "shameless" Shainis (12-5). Wusstig & Shainis always bring the action when they step into the cage. Wusstig has been training with Nostos MMA and it showed in his last fight when he was able to lock in a RNC on his opponent to end the fight. Shainis is returning after a brief stint in the UFC taking on some tough opponents he looks to get back in the win column. Shainis is 8-3 as a pro in the Cage Titans banner so expect him to bring everything he has.

A featherweight battle that the fans will love will be between Pat Gilbride (4-2) and Keilen "Krash" Fantroy (4-5). Fantroy is on a 2 fight win streak and comes from Omaha's Academy of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Representing New England fighting out of Lauzon's Mixed Martial Arts, Gilbride will be looking to send Fantroy back west with another L on his record. All of Gilbride's Victories have ended in Round 1. Expect fireworks from the moment the bell rings.

Pat "The Gorilla Ninja" Casey (10-6) returns to Memorial Hall after a quick round 1 victory in his last outing. After that victory, Casey was fired up and will carry that energy into this matchup with Sam "Super Saiyan" Watford (3-5). Watford is making his CT debut. Casey went viral for throwing a spinning leg kick and attempting a takedown in his matchup at BKFC. The fans want to know, will we see the spinning kick this time? Tune in to find out

A couple more notable fighters to watch is Marty Navis(6-3). Navis is quickly becoming a fan favorite as his fights always deliver. With only 1 fight of his going to decision and all 5 of his others victories coming by finish, we doubt the judges will be needed in this one. Jeff Joy will also be on the card in a featured grappling match against undefeated prospect Shane Dougherty. Also after a controversial ending to his last match Aaron Hughes (3-3) returns to the cage taking on anyone who will step in there. After a couple opponent changes Hughes finally gets his match as Cornelius Williams makes his pro debut and looks to leave with a victory.

Headlining the Amateur part of the show is one of the most highly anticipated title fights in CT history as Brody "The American Psycho" McDougal (3-0) lays his undefeated record on the line against another undefeated prospect Ozzy "Toro" Martin (2-0). McDougal comes from Nostos MMA and has not needed the judges in any of his fights. After claiming a title in another organization in his last fight, McDougal is on the hunt for his 2nd title in just 2 fights. Neither men have needed the judges once so expect all out action.

Making his return to the cage is undefeated Brendon "Motor" Boates. After going 2-0 in the cage in 2022, Boates is back with a vengeance and ready for anyone. Naquan Calderon (0-2) steps up to the challenge. Fighting out of New York and making his CT debut. Calderon is looking to get into the win column with a CT vet like Boates standing across the cage, that will not come easy.
