Christos Papadelos held his 2nd grappling tournament last Saturday in Londonderry, New Hampshire, and it certainly has people talking in the combat sports community. Tom DeBlass decibel, Calvin Tacey, made the drive up from New Jersey to compete in the absolute tourney for the first time as a brown belt, and man did he impress. Tacey took down highly-regarded local grappler Placido Santos in the finals, and put the BJJ community on notice. In a video of the finish that has gone viral and created some serious debate on social media, Tacey talks about the finish and how he's been perceived by the keyboard warriors about the fight finishing Estima Lock.
A truly professional competitor, Tacey is one to keep an eye on within the jiu-jitsu world moving forward. Check out the full interview below in The Room.
