One of the fastest rising featherweight stars in the region continued his winning ways at CES 69 last Friday at Bally's Twin River. Nate Ghareeb (6-1) is quickly turning heads beyond the regional scene, and may very likely get a call to the big show in the coming months. The 28 year old has now strung 4 wins in a row together and stands at 6-1 overall dating back to mid 2019 when he made his pro debut. Ghareeb took on Javon Wright (6-5), who hadn't fought MMA in more than 6 years, and made quick work of him by finishing him via unanswered strikes with :30 left in the first round.
We caught up with Ghareeb after the fight and got his thoughts on his performance and what we should expect from him in the near future. Ghareeb has his eyes set on the next level and competing on The Contender Series this summer, but if that doesn't come to fruition then he'd be happy to welcome top ranked featherweight in the region, "Shameless" Don Shainis (12-3), to the CES cage to scrap for their 145 pound belt.
