Last Sunday was a big day for New England combat sports, as 19 year old Christos Papadelos opened up his brand new gym in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The opening was highlighted by two 8 man BJJ tournaments, one for the 155 pounders, and the other for the 175's. There was some money on the line as well, as each winner would take home $1,000 for their efforts in besting the other 7 competitors in their respective division.
It was a great turnout, and NEMMA's own Steve Domenico made the trek up from Rhode Island to cover the event. There was no shortage of grappling talent in the room, as Connor Barry, Jack Stapleton, Nick Fiore, Jeff Joy, Robby Robertson, and many other studs were either there to compete, or observe. In the end, Nick Fiore was able to take down the 170 lb division and Robert Robinson won the 155 lb division. Both grapplers won $1,000 in the process, and supported a great cause in the grand opening of Enigma Jiu-Jitsu.
