New England MMA writer and South Shore Sportfighting Lightweight Brendon Boates enters The Room Podcast before making his MMA debut at Cage Titans 51 at the ripe age of 44. Boates credits "mostly stupidity" as his reasoning for stepping into the cage for the first time this Saturday night when he competes in an Amateur Lightweight MMA bout against Gage Looby in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Follow along as Brendon optimistically breaks down his own skills; "Striking: Shit...Wrestling: Sucks...Grappling: Not Good!" but credits his team at South Shore Sportfighting for getting him "ready" for this "opportunity." Boates admits that if he can pick up a win Saturday night, it will not only be his first as an Amateur MMA fighter, but his first win in the sport period!..."I don't win a round in training," says Brendon "I want to be the first guy to lose every round in training and win my fight."
