Randy Costa forced to withdraw from UFC 259 bout

Randy "The Zohan" Costa's UFC momentum has been temporarily put on hold, as he has been forced to pull out of his upcoming UFC 259 bout versus Trevin Jones. The bantamweight bout was scheduled for March 6th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on the undercard. The Luazon MMA product has recently been training in Florida at one of the top gyms in the world, Sanford MMA. Costa is 2-1 in the UFC and is coming off of 2 impressive 1st round KO's over Boston Salmon and Journey Newsome, so there is quite a bit of hype behind the surging prospect. Costa (6-1) announced on his Instagram that he had suffered an injury a few weeks ago, and was attempting physical therapy in order to save the bout. Unfortunately the injury didn't respond as he had hoped, and Costa was forced to break the news to the UFC that he couldn't move forward with the scheduled bout. He's hoping to be back in the UFC cage before the summer to take on Jones.
