There is no question that Syndicate MMA's Jay "The Joker" Perrin (10-4, CES Bantamweight World Champion #1 Bantamweight in New England) is knocking on Dana's door and with a successful defense of his CES Bantamweight strap at CES 66 and "The Joker" could very well kick that door in! Perrin has reeled off wins in seven of his last eight contests, the lone loss coming by decision against Dwight Joseph on the Contender Series, an outcome that even Dana White disagreed with. In that time Perrin has staked his claim on two of the top regional titles, Cage Titans Bantamweight Champion and the CES Bantamweight World Title, leaving names like Johnny Campbell, Kin Moy, Diego Silva and Josh Smith in his wake.
Perrin puts his newly minted CES Bantamweight strap on the line for the very first time March 4th from the Bally's Twin River Casino when he meets Long Island's surging Bantamweight contender; Ashiek "The Freak" Ajim (5-1 #5 Ranked Bantamweight in New England). Jay exudes confidence, and rightfully so, ahead of this matchup with the upset minded prospect Ajim. "I think my boxing is just as good, if not better," than that of Challenger Ashiek Ajim's Perrin mentioned in this episode of "The Room Podcast." "If it goes to the ground," added Perrin "...I'll eat him alive!" Check out the entire interview below and be sure to stay tuned to New England MMA on YouTube for all your CES 66 coverage!
